Description: | The goal of the Medical Oncology Fellowship Program at Mount Sinai Hospital is to prepare the fellow for a career as an academic medical oncologist. Research opportunities will be provided with the goal to complete and publish a research project either on clinical epidemiology, clinical trial development, education scholarship, or quality improvement. There will also be teaching requirements and opportunities in undergraduate and post-graduate medical training through the Medical Oncology Program at Mount Sinai Hospital. Clinical and research areas of focus are available in one- or more of the following disease sites: breast cancer, GI cancers, and sarcoma. Fellows generally focus on one or two primary disease sites and supervision is provided by respective staff medical oncologists. Fellowships are available to candidates who have completed their formal Medical Oncology training. Where feasible, candidates are encouraged to apply for peer reviewed research funding. |
